I grew up fishing the flats of the Gulf of Mexico and have spent my life exploring wild waters across the country—from the high Sierra Nevada to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. For the past decade, I’ve been chasing trout and now call the Adirondacks home.
As a licensed New York State fishing guide, my greatest joy is sharing the adventure of fly fishing with others. Whether you’re new to the sport or a seasoned angler, I’ll help you experience the challenge, excitement, and reward of time well spent on the water.
High Peaks Angling Co. offers a variety of premier fly fishing experiences to suit all skill levels and preferences. All trips are guided by experienced professionals dedicated to making your time on the water memorable.
Full Day (8 hours)
$1900 (up to two people)
This is our most indulgent day on the Ausable, designed for anglers who appreciate fine water, good timing, and the civilizing influence of an excellent meal.
You’ll fish rare stretches of the river known for wild brown and rainbow trout, with premium rods and tackle provided so you can focus on the cast rather than the kit. A gourmet lunch is served riverside at midday, because hunger and heroics rarely mix.
As evening settles in, the experience concludes with a twilight dinner by the river and craft cocktails in hand—proof that a long day chasing trout can, and should, end beautifully.
Full (8hrs) or Half Day
$300 / $475 (up to two people)
Our classic guided day on the River is designed for anglers who want to fish well, learn a bit, and enjoy one of the most beautiful rivers in the Adirondacks.
You’ll explore iconic public-access stretches with an experienced guide, bringing your own gear and lunch—or renting equipment through us if you prefer to travel light.
The pace is relaxed, the instruction is thoughtful, and the goal is simple: a good day on good water, with no unnecessary fuss.
Two Hours
$250 (up to two people)
Our introduction package is built for those new to the river—or for anglers who suspect their technique could use a quiet tune-up. We cover the essentials: gear setup, casting, knots, fly selection, fish handling, and ethical catch and release, all at an easy, unhurried pace.
Equipment is included, and for those who find themselves wanting just a little more river time, the day can be extended into a half-day fishing trip.

The best months for trout are typically spring and fall, with prime action often in late spring, early summer and again in fall depending on water conditions.
During warmer months or in unfavorable conditions for trout, we can pivot to focusing on warm water species like bass, pike, and typically more plentiful fish when trout fishing isn't ideal.
We closely monitor weather, water temps, and flow conditions to ensure a safe and successful trip. Our guides will advise on the best strategies for each season and current conditions.
